A construction client of mine simply had enough of San Francisco living and decided to move himself and his business up North. He said he was fed up with the endless traffic, out-of-reason pricing, deafening noise that has recently plagued the city. He said he wanted a simpler life where he and his dog could walk into any of the shops, never had a commute longer than 10 minutes, and didn’t have to worry about locking his doors. He relocated to Guerneville. Having moved to the woods, he anticipated that either he would have to travel for clients or experience a dropoff in business. However, apparently, he was not the only person to hear that Siren call; because his business actually increased. So much so that he won’t even consider work only 20 miles away in Santa Rosa.
This house is a modern rebuild on the shore of the Russian River and is used as a weekend getaway for an urban family. This 4 bedroom, 3 bath features floor to ceiling windows with an Eastern exposure, modern appliances, and built-in casework. Since he has so much work up there, I anticipate shooting more great projects in Guerneville.
